Hey guys, I have a bedroom that I have fully dedicated to my new hobby. I have 23 plants total, each plant has it's own 5 gallon bucket. My plants are: (10 White Widow, 3 White Rhino, 2 Royal Queen Critical, 1 Royal Queen Fruit, 1 Super Hash, and 8 Reg. Skunk seeds. My plants are all 3-5 weeks old (I started some later so I can begin flowering at the same time and give some plants a longer Vegetation stage. My setup consists of 2 400W MH lights during Vegetation which will be switched to HPS during flowering, I water my plants every other day and give them nutrients with the watering, the nutrients I chose to give them is Earth Grow. I mist the plant and the leaves really well on the day I don't give nutrients or water to the plants. I keep the room around 80-85 degrees and the humudity is consistantly high in the room and I keep a few fans pushing air around in the room. I am using soil that I got straight from the outdoors, I live in Missouri and the dirt we get from near the Missouri River is really good dirt, and the PH is between 6.5-6.8. I really would like to get between 2-3 Ounces per plant, I realize I probably want get every plant up to those expectations but do you guys think I am at least in that general ball park? Anything less than 1.5 ounces and I don't think I'd be too happy. Also, Is there anything else anyone recommends I do to increase the yield of my plants or just to help them out in general? Thanks
its all about YOU. grow in veg state till you have the volume youre looking for and then switch to flowering and prune properly and youll max that room out no prob hope youve got a MEGA carbon filter. best wishes
Ayuh. Up your lighting for sure. In a full bedroom you'd want to at least double it - minimum. I'd have at least several 1,000 watt hps lights running, but since you already have two 400's, maybe you could add a couple of 600's. this is alot of area. Shaded area equals loose flowers. Also, while outdoor soil can be excellent, I would definetly mix in some peat, aeration and a few nutritional amendments, such as kelp meal, neem, earthworm castings and some rock dust. Personally I would do less plants as well. More plants don't always equal more finished flowers. This said, best of luck with this garden. J
What kind of carbon air filter is recommended? And where is a good place to buy one? I'm not using the whole room just about 1/2 the room is covered, the buckets are closer since they are 5 gallon buckets and I'm keeping the plants in veg for 4-6 weeks so they aren't going to be as big. I'm still hoping for at least 2 oz per plant. I think the reasonable, I will have all the plants go through at least 60-80 days of Vegetation and another 30 or so of flowering.
i stand by mountain air filters. i got me one of those suckers and i cant even smell my own toes after a hard work day anymore. also you need 65-90 days of flowering depending on strain but 30 days sounds wrong
