ah fuck, metel quills in my finger

    hey i got a quick question, i was trying to take out my pipe screen which is a metle one and i did it too rough and got 3 or 4 little metel quills about half a cm in my fnger tip. i cant feel it so it doesnt bother me just wondering cause they are caked with res lol and thats in my skin now will that cause problems? also wondering if i should take them out or get a tetna shot :) tks guys and beware your screens :eek:

    i've had a piece of pencil lead stuck in mine since grade 6, so you should be ok...

    go to the hospital and get them removed, you don't want it getting infected, unless you can get them all out........and usually with screens they use cheap metal, you may have gotten away with stainless steel, but not normal screens...........if it gets infected your finger will swell up and you'll need to go to the hospital anyway.........and if you get tetnis, you'll die from the inside out and snap your own spine, and swallow your tongue............get them out someway or another, even if they're clean they'll cover over with skin and hurt when you touch things............Peace out.........Sid

    first off its not lead in pencils, its graphite, and ive had it in my palm for about umm 4 years

    well im slowly ripping skin off the surface of it to make a head then out comes the trusty tweezers. thanks sid for the advice i dont like the idea of death from the inside out lol and im drunk si itll be fun im off :)

    ah thanks fuck i got them out. lol theres little hairs of res in the wound still and the fucking quills were a cm long and jagged. lol hurt alot yay im all better now :D

    graphite then...and it's also in my palm....

    was foolin around and japped myself in the palm...how did you get yours?

    theres a tick buried in my chest...was there like 3 years ago so I ripped it off but part of it was stuck so i went swimming and forgot about it

    reading this made me remember a post (i believe it was on these forums) about someone who had a large cut and they actually stuck a piece of weed under the cut and claimed to get a buzz from it, haha...

    I've had lead stuck in my hand from a pencil since 1st grade. I say don't worry too much about it. Rub some alcohol or peroxide on it and forget about it. Keep it clean for the next few days. If it happens to get infected, go to the doctor and they'll prescribe antibiotics. As long as you keep it somewhat clean it won't get infected though.

    glad to hear you got them out - my fiance works with wires and stuff, and theres nothing i hate more than wire splinters

    just a quick note, when removing screens, use a small swiss army knife or any other small blade that u can use to pry the screen off. no ouchies that way. :)

    I'm too late... Glad you got 'em out...

    I got a bunch of tiny little catcus spines stuck in my hand once... Was picken 'em out for a couple weeks - NOT fun.

    all i gotta say is...

    tweezers nail clippers a new razor and a bit of heat to clean them before you start digging that shit outta yer hand.

    a drink or a toke is most likely needed...feels sorta cool actually

    LoL... I forgot about this for a while. I just wanted to mention that graphite in pencils sucks... I got some stuck in my finger from like 14 years ago... I wonder if it'll ever go away...

    I had a 3 inch long splinter that was about 1/2 inch to an inch deep in my arm. I had to take a knife and cut part of my arm open to get it out. That sucked.
