Aggressive War and Terrorism Are One and the Same! So Who Are the Real Terrorists?

Discussion in 'Politics' started by Limecat, Mar 21, 2011.

  1. Seems appropriate given our current involvement in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Libya (who knows where else that we don't know about).

For those that don't know, LewRockwell.com is great.

  2. While I have yet to read this (too tired, will read in the am lol) I believe we should get rid of the term "terrorist" because it has a broad definition that can literally be applied to ANYONE!

  3. Yes we are terrorists for supporting the unarmed people of Libya. You need to be a coward to be a terrorist.

  4. Did you even READ the article? I'm going to say....no.

Keep up the propaganda though, the corporatists in Washington LOVE you! :hello:

  5. Like the United States government.

"It's like the definition didn't ever exist ,
I guess it's all just dependent who your nemesis is,
Irrelevant how eloquent the rhetoric peddler is,
They're telling fibs, now tell us who the real terrorist is."

Seriously though, it's just rhetoric and how you analyse the discourse.
In one situation someone is a freedom fighter, in another a terrorist. They're the same thing 99% of the time. It just depends on what social construct the powers that be want you to associate with them at any given time.

By the proper definition, the US armed forces are the biggest and most destructive terrorist organisation to have ever existed.

  8. We call it terrorism, doesn't really matter what we call our enemies.... we will always treat them the same way.

  9. This terrorism bullshit has been plain as day to me for as long as I have been smoking weed, I wonder if there is a connection there:smoke:

As for why is it allowed to pass?, well all you have to do is look up. Many of us know but the rest of them are pawns of the opposer and/or just apathetic to anything that doesn't directly affect them or their shit.

The two greatest flaws of humanity are certainly laziness and cowardice.

LewRockwell seems cool though I reserve the right to change my mind, so many things used to be awesome.

I thought Zeigheist was kinda of kool until I got to that nutty no one will work and computers will run our life part:eek:. Did you know that asshole charges people to visit him and look at his shit.?

I wonder if we will ever know a time of peace.

  10. the only time you will know peace is if you can clear all your thoughts...while you are taking a shit....

    ;):smoke:

  11. like i always say:

the only difference between a terrorist and a revolutionary is, revolutionaries won.

  13. Hey, President Obama. We appreciate you trying to pronounce our country's name correctly but could you please stop murdering our civilians?

Pakistan Tells CIA to Halt Drone Strikes - WSJ.com

Obama looks like more of a neocon than Bush, just based on the numbers:

Drone attacks in Pakistan - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Year of the Drone | NewAmerica.net

42 drone attacks under W racking up a death toll of 362-425 (2004-2008)

192 drone attacks under O racking up a death toll of 1,073-1,858 (2009-2011)

  14. isn't it more or less the fault of these guys...not just the puppets (bush/obama) in the oval office? Congress could force the recall of all troops if they really wanted too...problem is the profits...the war industry won't like losing $$$...;)

  15. You have a good point, but when you have a figurehead who approves of it, the people will never call for real changes from Congress.

  16.
  17. The US Government are no doubt the terrorists. The crimes we have committed in Iraq are no better than the acts we condemned (Hitler, Cuba, Russia, etc.) in the past. It's really a shame what we've done in Iraq, and I have no second thoughts about saying that what the US Government has done to the country of Iraq is the the worst thing this country has ever done, collectively, in our entire history.

It's a damn shame that people aren't more pissed off about Iraq (and Afghanistan) and I'm even more saddened that people let Obama just steamroll his way into Libya. The US Government, no doubt, is creating a backlash that will make 9/11 look like a joke. We single-handedly devolved the entire country of Iraq into a giant US-hating machine, and it's only getting worse as the economic chaos we caused to Iraq is now forcing Iraqi's to leave their country and move to surrounding countries.

In other words, we screwed the pooch big time.

  18. Totally. We have been messing with that country for longer than I've been alive:

    Iraq–United States relations

How many Iraqi's died in the 1990's thanks to us? 500,000? 1,000,000?

  19. all of the states that fall under the UN: to them terrorist is anyone who woke to this bullshit and tired of it
in actuality the real terrorrists are running the show and have been for a while now, good luck getting them to step down like egypt's corrupt leader did..cause it aint happening

  20. But the government says that only a few dozen children were killed in Pakistan by unmanned US drones and not hundreds as the tinfoil hat wearing Pakistanis are claiming.

We better trust the government because our leaders are all steadfast bastions of honesty.

We are dropping Gandhi like humanitarian bombs on Libya because we are so peaceful and lamb like.

Why Obama should get another Nobel and the US should be commended for its dovish bombing campaigns and its convalescent air strikes.
