    Through the rigorous application of a little something i like to call "self control", i've restrained from smoking these buds for nearly a month. They were given to me practically straight off the plant. I was initially peeved, but life gave me lemons and i made lemonade.

    First order of business was to manicure them.

    I removed a fair bit of leaves from these. They were pretecting all the trichs which was quite nice.

    They dried quite nicely (almost to the point of stem snappage), and then they went into the jar, and into a dark location. For the last few weeks i've been giving them air in the morning and the evening to sweat out that last bit of moisture and cure the bud to peak potency and flavor.

    I felt the need to peep them a bit so i pulled them out for a photoshoot. Here they are after a month in the jar.

    i even managed to save a bit of the haze i got a while back. its been curing as well and i'm hoping that it softens the flavor a bit. It originally tasted really astringent. Stuck in your sinuses. I think it should work wonders when its ready.

    This weekend i plan on taking a bonghit to see how they're doin. Cant wait!:hello:

    beautiful pics.

    and congrats on waiting all that time to smoke that bud. it's going to be so much better.


    i'm about to put 2 ounces into jars for cure, so i'm pretty excited to see how they look when they're done and what they end up smelling like.


    edit: that haze is awesome, and that shot with the jewelers microscope is a great shot. where did you pick that up?

    Absolutely excellent budshots as always Colonel.But yeah,curing nugs is definitely something that is worth the wait for the final outcome.There's nothing like cracking open that jar and getting super ripped off those smooth,tasty buds...Mmmm haha.

    do you normally cure bud you buy, or was this a special case because a grower gave you fresh(er) herb?

    dude you have purple haze! but not "purple haze" just purple haze or haze with purple in it hahahaha that made no sense anyway BEAUTIFUL BUD ALL AROUND!!!!!!!!! +rep

    I got mine on ebay for a few dollars. It took quite a bit of experimentation to get recognizable pictures.

    If you're looking for a good scope just to look at trichs. Radioshack makes one that goes from 60-100X. its like 10 bucks and is super awesome. Even comes w/ an LED to light up the herbs you view.

    The smell gets better every day. I LOVE it. Just seeing the progress they make is enough to get me to replace every bud and seal the jar up w/o any "mysteriously" spontaneously combusting:D.


    I dont usually cure bud i buy. For the most part the growers do a decent job of drying, trimming, and occasionally curing their herb.

    This last batch was roughly manicured while the plant was still in the dirt. I dont know if it was even dried. I got it and the bud was super fresh and in need of its final trim, drying, and curing.

    Heh. Purple haze. :rolleyes: thanx for the reppage.

    God damn i cant wait to chief these nugs.

    Pulled them out of the jars today for a taste. They're just dandy. They need another few weeks though. Tossed some outdoor in jars as well.

    i have a question. did you get the ac with the diffusor attached or without a diffusor?

    The diffusor is attached. HG initially told me that they were only going to make them w/o it, so i figured i would just use the existing downstem. But when it arrived it was there :)

    Been a while since we've ripped this binger. Might be some milkshots tonight if i'm feelin especially ambitious.
