After sprouting

  1. Hey I had a question about what am I supposed to do with my seedling after it sprouts? I have them in foam cups and a few that I had before sprouted 2 inches above soil and I made the mistake of putting them in the sun which killed them. So I really need help with this so I won't ruin my new ones, and when should I begin to water them, when the soil is dry still? Thanks for any help.

  2. You really need to read before you start so you dont run into a new problem, read my signature for basic info. Youll need to choose lighting, and learn how to water based on your soil.

  3. Read the stickies.

  4. Well I should have said first that I'm not going to be growing indoors. My plan right now is starting it off in the cups first then transplanting into a bigger pot and the only light giving them is sunlight then bringing it inside if the weather gets horrible, I live in Texas so that's pretty doubtful. I put my sprouts out in my garage earlier today and they actually grew a little bit they were a brownish color at the tips and I just checked on them they were green and formed their first 2 little leaves. I read the guides and learned when to fertilize and such it's just the only problem I couldn't find anything about is when to let them get some sunlight or are they still too small for this?

  5. Oh, in that case it's easy. You cannot grow starting in October in the northern hemisphere outside of the tropics. MJ is an annual plant and has evolved to grow during spring and summer, fertilize in late summer, and then start dying right about now. Doesn't matter if it won't be freezing cold in your area, you won't get enough light and the right spectrum from just the sun this time of year.

  6. Thanks for the advice. Indoor growing; I'll give a try, thanks for the links in your sig too, I never saw Vokal's guide, pretty helpful.
