After 10 months of smoking food doesn't taste the same!

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by goldtide, Sep 24, 2011.

1. I've smoke eveyday for pretty much all of the last year and Im never hungry anymore almost unless I'm smoking. If I'm not high Its hard for me to eat any kind of a big meal. Anybody else deal with this and is there anyway to fix it without taking a t-break?

2. ive been smoking for around 3 years now, and I love food, all the time.

3. Your body is just used to eating while you're high.

4. Just force yourself to eat

5. are you not eating just because of the taste if that's the case man up and just eat the damn food
Or you cant eat because you physically cant eat then there might be a medical problem see a doctor
because i smoke all the time and food will never become boring to me at all its just a nice bonus when im high like adding bacon to any dish

6. It happens to me too OP. I'll be physically hungry, but if I try to eat and I'm not high, the smell, taste, and feel of food in mouth makes me nauseous. Honestly, it sucks.

I can't really think of a fix other than a t-break. The effect you're describing is technically anorexia, and it is one of the few, mild symptoms of marijuana "withdrawal," along with insomnia, and irritability. If you stop smoking, you should get your appetite back within a week.

7. So true!

8. Sounds like you need a T-break. Just get lots of exercise the first few days. It should help give you an appetite and help you get to sleep.

9. Dam I need to take a break as well then... :(

ah fuck it, :smoke:

10. If you want to make sure you eat the next time you get a meal, do not eat or smoke for an entire day and see if food does not taste delicious

11. Your body's endocannabinoids regulate appetite. since you're smoking so much, your body doesn't think it needs these endocannabinoids anymore. thus, they aren't making you hungry like you should be, and you can only be hungry when you have THC in yo brain.

true story. look it up

12. Had that. Eat before you smoke, helps combat munchies and your high isn't diminished by eating.

13. yeah same for me, I've been smoking for 3 years everyday and I rarely eat, it all tastes like cardboard, even when I am high.

14. stole the words out of my mouth. this is the explanation for what you are experiencing, happens to most major (multiple times a day) stoners

15. you musta never tried digiorno then you puss

16.
you musta never tried digiorno then you puss
You must just not smoke enough to have this happen to you.

You insult someone in almost every single one of your posts. What's the deal man?

17. Thanks for sharing! Very interesting

18. Im the same way. I rarely like the taste of food now and im never hungry when Im not high. If I stop smoking I don't eat for like a week except for maybe a sandwich a day. shit sucks dude.

19. dude i had the exact same thing happen to me. I just started my t break a week ago and i noticed in the first three days i ate nothing. Absolutely nothing, i lost tons of weight and i tested my urine to see if i was urinating ketones, which i was. Which means my body was going into ketosis. And i still wasnt hungry. Finally on the fourth day i forced food down my throat, i was even gagging for some reason, i just couldnt eat or drink. But after that meal my appetite started coming back and food is starting to have its purpose in my life
