Im trying to an do aeroponic/fogponic/aquaponic system. Sprayers will spray onto the roots at the same time filling the root chamber. when the water in the root chamber hits a certain level the pond fogger will start. The chamber will have a small drain that will drain slower than it fills. When my pump turns off. All the water will drain back to my fish tank. I was told buy the hydro supply store guy. To use this white lava rock medium. 5 mins on 5 mins off. So i bought that. This was before I decided to buy a pond fogger. I got my recipt so i can return my lava rocks. My questions. The pond fogger keeps a cloud in the root chamber for a good 30 mins even if its only on for a min. should i change my planned watering scheduled? What medium you think i should use? And for shits and giggles If i were to break up and clean red lava rock from the yard, you think it would make a decent medium?
