To start, I'm a senior in high school,18 years old. And I got caught in the act Friday night. I live with my mom and dad and they are religious fundys to say the least. But we are having a long talk about what happened that night and why I smoke weed again. After this incident I've decided to not smoke until I get through high-school and maybe college. I just want some advise to what I should say to them. At this point I don't care what my punishment is. I think it would be better that they know the real me. I've been doing it this last time to treat depression and anxiety but every weekend I used to use it to expand my mind and use it to be more open minded. I think you guys know what I'm talking about, I just figured id ask the community how theyd get this point across to someone.

You're pretty close to not having to live with your parents ever again. Just play your cards right in college and make sure you don't have to move back in with them. Become your own person, smoke all the weed you want, and live your life, not the life your parents want for you.

Tell them you use it as a medication for anxiety and depression... basically what you told us. Tell them its better than synthetic medication made by doctors and scientists that actually puts harmful substances into your body. Tell them how safe Marijuana is and that the only thing making it bad is the fact that its illegal, which is due to ignorance. Good luck, cheers
As an alternative, you could always just tell 'em to fuck off. Not literally, because that would be mean and unnecessary.. But, you know, assert to them that you are an adult, that this is your life and you are capable of making your own choices. Although I love all the advice in here for convincing them to come to your side of the fence.
I appreciate the advise. They will definitely be reading some of those articles, although I'm sure it isn't going to work since they are stuck up and close minded. Hah take a toke for us brothers and sisters that can't!
