Hey GC about how much should my plants yield like this? 10 plants in 2 gallon pots in soil vegging under a 400w MH for two months then transplanted into 5 gallon pots and put all 10 plants under a 600w HPS for another 8-10 weeks? Another question: How much light would be enough to veg 40 plants in 1 gallon pots for two months?
depends, there are a lot of variables u have to take into account. but if u pull .5g per watt ur doing ok (this is average) , at .5 per this means u can pull 300g (1lb is aprox 453g) from 1 600w. but depending on how u grow, what u grow, food CO2, how big they are, etc. u may pull less or more
You should have 3000 to 4000 watts of light to grow 40 plants. .5g's/watt is a good goal for a starter...as you get better and get your grow dialed in and begin high yield techniques, it can go up to 1-2g's/watt. And remember, Smokey the Stoner sez, "Only you can predict your yield!"
