Htg supply has a hps ballast, 400w bulb and 4 sided steel reflector for $120. Add grow bright 400w hps and mh conversion bulbs, a max wing reflector and a timer for $196 sounds like a good deal to me, but what do you guys think? Sent from my SGH-T999 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
snooooop this: http://www.amazon.com/Apollo-Horticulture-Dimmable-Detachable-Reflector/dp/B00547I5I8/ref=pd_sbs_lg_6 I got 6 and think more ....maybe?
Holy shit dude, that's $60 less than what I was gonna get, plus I get light hangers. I'll be getting this one, thanks for the heads up Sent from my SGH-T999 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
I was going to go bigger than 400 but I'm only dealing with five or six plants in a space 2'x4' in a bathroom. I have a vent right out the window and a cooling vent in the ceiling but I think I'm ok with the 400. Agree/disagree? Sent from my SGH-T999 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Using the formula 50w/sq ft 400 is my magic number. Sent from my SGH-T999 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
shiiiiiiit i wish i lived in america, all that is equivalent to about £85 when i got similar items here and it cost me £170 that's like $270 and my ballast isn't dimmable.
600w is this: http://www.amazon.com/Apollo-Dimmable-Hydroponic-Reflector-Pressure/dp/B004L3AQ1U/ref=pd_sbs_lg_2 but you will need 6" dia vent tubing and the xrtact fan to add to costs, 2 of these lights is still better than a 1Kw light and get closer to with less heat than 1Kw, but 50% more heat than a 400w of the same class Choice is yours, whatever you decide BE FLEXIBLE IN YOUR PLANS
