My plants are about 3 1/2 feet tall at the moment, well, the sativa are, indica are almost 3 feet, week 2 of flower, and for some reason the majority on most plants branches are starting to turn over. Not completely fall down, but the tips are "tip heavy". Obviously they need to be staked up, and I have 2 and 4 foot bamboo stakes, but the problem is that I really don't want to poke down into the roots at such a delicate stage considering that most need at least 2 stakes in the pots. Anybody have advice on a better method or technique? Its rather urgent, thank you.
Nah, poke them things right into the soil, do it kinda gentle and if ya feel like your smashing a root just try another spot, I do it all the time and never had any problem, the duct tape would work but seems like a lot
I thought about tapikg them on the sides, but it makes them stick out 3-4" past the outside of the pot because of the lip. If yy guys haven't had any problems with just staking directly I'll just so that. I just wanted to double check. Do you stake towards the edge of the pot? That's what I've been doing, was wondering if it was better to do it towards the middle, I'm assuming not though.
