Hi guys after a bit of advice, I'm 5 days in to my first plant it has sprouted. I'm using bat special soil, is there anything else I need to be adding to it? All opinions welcome, thanks
I add Neem cake to my soil to prevent Spider Mites and other insects. Love the stuff. I've never had a single Spider Mite. You can get it here: Neem, Neem Oil, Karanja Oil, Neem & Karanja products I use it in the vegetable garden too. No insect problems there either.
Looks like good stuff House & Garden Bat-Special - Soil and Guano Mix - 50 litre The one thing I add to every soil no matter what is perlite. Kelp meal for micronutrients Blood and bone meal for macronutrients Glacial rock dust for trace elements Crab/lobster meal adds chitin which is proven to boost resin production. Neem cake or meal for insect control, as mentioned. I never realized how effective it is until I used it in some potted strawberry bushes last year that were infested with ants. Top-dressed with neem cake and the ants were gone the next day. Works on fungus gnats too.
