Hey guys, this is my first grow and it started on the window sill and then was transplanted outside into the soil. The soil around here is great, just about anything will grow with ease. I have only fed it normal tap water and it's had a the clear plastic shelter since it started flowering to keep the rain off. It seems to be growing well, but the buds don't seem to be getting any bigger, the trichomes are 50% milky 50% clear right now, really hoping for ambers apparently it gives a more couch lock sleep type effect, seriously first time so if I am saying anything wrong then please tell me, need to learn. Just wondering if anyone can spot any issues with the plant, maybe I did something wrong and it's slowing down the growth. I was cutting some of the fan leaves off to try and get more sun to the bottom half of the plant, was told it was a good idea, but I've been checking and some say it might cause stress to the plant, thoughts? Thanks for any help people Edit: Forgot to mention, I have been growing these since April this year, didn't start flowering until august, not sure if that's good or bad? Also one of them turned out to be male, so I cut that down about half way through those pictures, also did this in august, the pollen sacks hadn't burst so I guess I'm safe against seeds lol They have gotten wet a few times, but they dried off after a day or two, the shelter did fall on it a few times ... my hippy DIY failed a few times But that girl is strong as an ox, she just bounced right back up, so hopefully that's a good sign. Anyway, thanks for any help !
You're looking good over there. Just let them swell up and wait until you sit that slight ambering if that is exactly what you want. Just be patient. Growth seems to go in cycles. When the plant is slowing down.. that doesn't mean it's done. Growth slows to almost a halt before they start talking off again and one day you go back there and are just amazed by what they do. Just be patient. Avoid frost or excess rain and you'll be ok.
Thanks MDFinest, I checked them this morning and the main bud is starting to turn a really dark purple, presume it's just the cold. It looks really nice purple so if it's all good I'm happy The strain is either Juicy Fruit or Chocolope, I was given a load of those strains seeds and planted them randomly, I know bad idea lol I was told I could get about 4oz off a plant, but right now it looks more like 1-2 oz, I guess the UK weather isn't the best for outdoor grows, but not really an option indoors. First frost here should be in about 5 weeks time, we never had a winter last year in my area so, maybe the frost wont even show up ! Just hope they fatten up a bit, need to donate the trim to some oil makers for a cancer patient and I need enough buds for my own problems. Speaking of trim .. ing ( failed joke sorry lol ) Any guides on harvesting around, I'm just not entirely sure where to cut and I really don't want to make any mistakes. Thanks again
There are guides on the internet and information going back years. Just go to google and type in what you're looking for and read away. I cut the branches right beneath the internode so I can used the v shape to hang my plants. I'll just say make your cuts based on your drying area. If you are using a small drying box you want to cut branches that will fit in the box. Other than that there aren't any rules to how you go about harvesting.
