Advice on my next grow

  1. Hey guys

I currently have about 20 rooted clones getting established in small pots.

I have a 4x4 area in an 8x4 tent that I'm going to use for this run.
I am using 2X 240W qb from kingbrite

I'll be using biobizz all mix soil, grow, Bloom and topmax.
There are two larger plants of the same strain at week 3 of flower already in the tent.

I'm aiming for a quick turnaround so I was thinking 1 gallon smart pots and a 2 week veg in a sog.
I'm no expert so I don't know if this is the best way to get a large yeild quickly.
    Any advice would be great
    Cheers

  2. Thats about a 47 days from getting those clones and supercropping em a bit. I hear to flower em at 10" but i let mine go a bit more to fill out the closet.

  3. The one gallon bags will work with clones. I just harvested a 4 oz plus plant in a one gallon germ to harvest. No more for me. My one gallon plants got relatively massive for the bag. So they were normal 4 oz plants but all crammed and top heavy and drinking one gallon dry in 8 hours during peak. But I do like starting seeds in one gallon. And really have discovered any size container works. It's just, a plant does best when it is in a certain relation size wise to it's container. So, single cola clones would be ideal for one gallon. Anything else would do better trans planted to a larger size container as it's size gets bigger. Otherwise, it will still grow large, but in a cramped environment needing constant hydration.

  4. I’ve never considered a point @Talkative brought up. That point being how fast the plants may suck that medium dry. Definitely something to consider! I don’t run an SOG, but I’m considering it for the faster turn around and to stop slaughtering seeds. But reading what’s posted above I think when I do try my hand I’ll use 3 gallon pots to hopefully have a day in between water/feed. But fuck yeah man, rock that shit!

  5. Would you be happy with an oz per clone.

  6. Yeah man more or less what I was expecting.

    Hey, cheers for the reply
I contemplated sticking my rooted clones straight in the 1gal pots but I like to start them in smaller pots and transplant them once they have a good root mass,( the roots explode in my experience) I'm not sure if this is good or bad. I have more clones to transplant so I'll do them side by side and see if I notice a difference.

Amazing that you can pull 4oz in such a small pot, I was taught
    "muckle plants, muckle roots"
Muckle is Scots for loads. Guess it's not true.
I'd be happy with 1oz plants... Just cram as many in as possible?

  7. I prefer not to have to tend the garden every day, could set up some elaborate watering system but that's money and effort.
My soils drying slower since I switched to QB's as my temps dropped a bit so might not be an issue until they're thirsty af in flower

  8. Whats the best way to train plants in sog? , if you even should?
2 week veg and then the stretch they could still get to a decent size

  9. I used to do a 16-20 plant dog in one gallon pots of Royal Gold Tupur. With that size pot, you’ll be feeding 2-3 times a day in flower so an autofeed system is preferable. I had a 55 gallon res and drip manifold. Plants were on a drain table and runoff collected in a gutter. Flood and drain would work too.

Super skunk strains have single cola tendencies.
