  1. hi everyone.

    looking for advice on lights

will indoor grow a few babes then will move outdoors.

maybe 2 weeks with a week of hardening.

what light is appropriate for that early stage.

    and

what height should the light be from the babes?

do they need more blue than red?
    do heating pads help?

due to security im going to do a guerilla grow of up to 10 units. far out of the city.

    any good videos?

    thanks heaps

  2. I use a t5 light fixture for the first 3 weeks........keep it 3 inches from the tops of the plants.

  5. I have a 4ft. 8 bulb fixture totalling 435 watts.

  6. what brand?

  7. Most any T5 light will work to veg some plants prior to planting outdoors like Mick said.
They stay cool, so your plants can get right up next to them without burning, unlike higher powered LEDs

    just get some 4ft LEDs.
I have these on my own list but they're only 2ft.

  8. heat mat is very important for starting seedlings keep them nice and warm if its only a few you can use a couple LED light bulbs with the cover removed look for the ones that are equivalent to 150 watt bulbs and keep them about 1 foot above the seedlings i find it better than a 4 ft fixture if its only a couple seeds you can direct the light right at the plant no wasted energy

  9. Ive used the simple florescent shop lights to start a crop indoors. Cheap and available. They do a great job on young plants.
