Advice on growing outdoors in containers

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Outdoors' started by IamuRme, Jun 27, 2011.

  1. This will be a first time grow so I'll be asking for advice time to time . I'm located at latitude 30.27, looks like HOT weather fo the next couple of months, my soil is rather alkiline. I've got some bag weed seeds and a couple of fem. Blue mystic and Northern Light to plant. Water is no problem, discovery by others is minimal. My first question is this; plant in the ground or plant in buckets? Outdoors will the growth of the plants differ, what problems should I be prepared for etc.
    Thanks so much
    peace

  2. growing outdoors in buckets is a bitch man. trust me. you have to worry about all the things that come with container growing (root lock, touchy to nutes etc..) plus the fact that if its super hot in your area that container is gonna really warm up, and plants dont like their roots to get warm like that. just put it in the ground man.

Ah! Hadn't even considered heat on the roots, thanks for that advice. After watching some of those "Strain Hunter" videos I was already drawn to just putting the seed into the dirt.
Next question , what about putting a better soil mix in the hole that I will grow in?
