Advice for a 14mm tube around $250-400?

Discussion in 'Smoking Accessories Q&A' started by Pngwyn, Oct 16, 2011.

  1. I am looking for a good tube that would work well with my Hops inline A/C 14mm.. currently using it as a bubbler. I got the 14mm originally because I was going to use a SG downstem and they only have 18/14s of those, but now that I am shopping I am finding a lot of tubes are 18mm, which will only work if I use the SG downstem.

Any recommendations? Should I use the 18/14 SG or should I try and find a tube with a 14mm to fit?

A certain website called aqua_______ has a Migrant Glass 16" 9mm beaker for 220, and it has a 14mm joint.. A friend of mine has an identical piece and it is by far the best bong for the price, its beefy as fuck too, you could use it as a home defense weapon

and at that price you would be able to afford a Ben Wilson disk screen slide. I own one and ever since buying it, I hate using single hole bowlpieces

  3. I actually have a B Wilson slide already, and am absolutely loving it. That looks like a pretty sweet looking tube, but is it really the best I can do for $220? Just a single straight tube with no extra percs or anything :S

Also, I'm afraid of the location of the downstem won't work with the length of the inline... here's a pic of it when I was using it as a bubbler:

  4. Ah you got the large HOPS bubbler I saw those for sale, you don't have to get something that's a 14mm, you can get an adapter that goes from 18-14 if you get a stemless 18mm

  5. Yeah that's what I'm sayin.. I'll probably end up getting a 14/18mm SG downstem.

I'm thinking about getting an HVY 9mm Showerhead Beaker when I get some extra cash.. it's about $290 but it has good reviews on AQUA-lt.. is HVY good quality glass?

  6. HVY is good quality glass

    SG Stemline

    SGW Waffle

    LW/Leisure 15 Arm

There's a gnarly BW 6 arm to inline for 300 on that one site that we can't say here

Don't just get a thick straight tube, in that price range you're ready to step up into high quality glass. Only go for the thickness if you plan on beating intruders over the head with it. 5mm quality glass is absolutely fine unless you're incredibly clumsy. You can also just get a reducer to use any 14mm attachments with any of these tubes/bubblers, reducers are really cheap.

I'd highly recommend any of these over the HVY showerhead, especially since they're only very slightly more expensive.

  8. If its 9mm you'll be able to use it as a club as well as a bong:smoke: Its quality and worth it

But also in that price range is sg stemlines and glass of better function.

Edit: guy above me beat me to it

  9. ^^^ this.

Although those are 18mm. Just get an adapter. You'll wind up wanting the 18mm. Also u can use a low pro adapter. The 14<18 is huge though.

  10. Yea I was gonna say if you want quality glass at 14mm for a decent price HVY is the first thing that comes to mind. Their showerhead beakers seem pretty solid.

If you want to drop another 100 or go up to your stated $400 max you can definitely get something nicer though and just add an adapter

  11. look at the 400$ luke wilson 10 to 14 arm tube

  12. Omg this. I have a thing for the Luke Wilson Venetian tubes. So sick. I probably want one of those more than any other piece of glass. Hence the selling of a lot of what I have now.

EDIT: nevermind didn't realize he went by leisure glass now..

  14. On aqua under leisure

  15. what about the matching hops tube? inline to inline would be sick and smooth like buttah. the leisure tube is dope, i honestly like the beaker more though.
