Well with my other grow wrapping up, it's time to start this 1. Lights again will be the Maxsisun 1200- 268 true watt, and the maxsisun 600- 134 true watt, total 402 watts from the wall. Flower tent is 32"/32"/63". This is my first go at mixing my own soil. Mix is based off the easy organic soil mix for beginners, with a couple tweaks.

Started with 2cf foxfarm happy frog, and a few gallons spent soil
Added 4gallons #3 perlite, and 2c garden lime

    To that amendments added
.5 cup all purpose, Dr. Earth
.5 cup flower girl, Dr. Earth
    1 cup alfalfa meal
    1 cup neem meal
    1 cup crab meal
    1 cup seabird guano
    1 cup bone meal
    2 cups kelp meal
    2 cups worm castings

Been cooking a few weeks now, will be ready for transplanting in a week or so.

Not totally sure on days here but around day 10 above ground. Seedlings are in spent soil now, but going to the new mix next pot. Plan on transplanting to 3g for veg then to 7g pots for flower.

  4. Went ahead and topped both plants this morning. Guessing the soil used wasn't totally spent yet, growing strong. Transplant is coming quick, excited to use the new soil

  9. I appreciate it Papa, thank you!

Gonna clean the big tent out tomorrow and get the girls moved over. Will be topping them again as well. Not much happening other than that, cruising along. 20200417_070745.jpg 20200417_070749.jpg 20200417_070800.jpg

  11. Well the girls are a little rough this morning. Moved them 24hrs ago under new lights and watered a tad heavy. Probably shoulda gave them another day or 2 before watering to allow adjusting to the light. Both have been topped again. Also took a few leaves off each for my cure jars. The 1 on the right is already showing pistils. Soon time for lst. Figure around 3 or 4 weeks and I'll take cuts, transplant to 7g pots, and get ready for flower

All in all they are growing strong. I'm happy with the soil mix so far 20200419_062940.jpg 20200419_062945.jpg 20200419_062952.jpg 20200419_063021.jpg 20200419_063120.jpg

  12. Well we are going through some issues. Really since the other update we've continued to head down hill. I wanted to work through things first and figure some things out. Plants are showing signs of B, Fe, maybe Mn. However I think its something else

I know changing lights can mess with soil ph, also might be light stress too. That was what I figured so asked yesterday and a couple people agreed, but I still cant be 100% sure?

What I've done without doing much is raise both lights to close to 3' away, and also did a slurry on both for ph check, which both came back 6.5 and 6.6, and the roots I saw looked great, nice and white.

    If anyone can drop me some knowledge I'd truly appreciate it, thanks 20200420_063641.jpg 20200421_084843.jpg 20200421_084857.jpg 20200421_084901.jpg 20200421_084908.jpg 20200422_052951.jpg 20200422_052956.jpg 20200422_053001.jpg 20200422_053006.jpg 20200422_053011.jpg

  13. I've been working through it with some of the other growers, and still not 100% on exactly what happened. Yesterday I started thinking maybe the soil didn't quite have a proper cook? Tub in basement on concrete probably mid-high 50s so may have slowed the process. Every day though now we look slightly better, and aside from the tacoing right now we are almost back on track. Tomorrow or monday I'll remove the leaves with the spotting, been using them for checking progression.

On to plant maintenance, I tied down both main tops this morning on both plants. Lowered lights back down a few inches as well, gonna do a little a day till I get to range

  14. And here they are today. Bounced back and growing strong. Still some tacoing, but other than that color is coming back, and for the most part looking good. I'll be transplanting into 7g pots this week, and will continue the lst. I'll update later this week unless something changes, or if anyone has anything to add.
Edit: both plants are showing preflowers now

  15. Planned on tp this weekend, but everything arrived early. Went ahead and got them in their final 7g pots. Roots looked great. The left plant took a little pain with the amount of roots grown in the bottom of her bag. Definitely gonna give them 2 weeks to adjust, and then I'll think about flowering.

  16. Girls are looking pretty good me thinks! The left 1 took the root damage during tp, and until this morning looked super sad. The right 1 I just cut the fabric pot off of so didn't even skip a beat from tp. Bout time to figure these tops out. Thinking I'm going to super crop some instead of tying cause that would be a mess of garden wire. On track for flower switch whenever we want really. Part of me wants to top again, decisions decisions

  17. Had an early morning bondage session. Also starting thinning the mass of leaves, damn bushy bitches. Oh yeah I turned the smaller light back on yesterday. Full 400 watt again, and seem to be handling it much better.
