okay so first is advanced nutrience good for non-hydro setups because there products mention hydro in the discription? Then also is there big bud powder a good investment?
Hey there - First of all, you can usually use any nutrient in soil too, not just in hydro. While Advanced Nutrients has been awesome in hydro setups for me, I know just as many people who get great results in soil. All you have to do is search soil and Advanced Nutrients to get the scoop. Personally, I haven't tried it myself, so I'm not quite sure how it would work. My best guess is that you'd have to use more nutes since the soil tends to act as a buffer to things that are put into it. That way, all of the nutes the plants need get to the roots. But again, check with the boards through a search or call the guys at AN for help. Also, the Big Bud powder that Advanced Nutrients makes is a good investment - here's why. Though it's a bit more expensive than the liquid, you get to measure out what you're using, so you can control the strength and keep it cost effective for you. ALl you're getting with the liquid is convenience, in my opinion. Big Mike was also talking about roots accelerator from H&G this week, I think, so that's something to look at. I saw this on a forum this week: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-JJb3JiqYlY&feature=youtube_gdata]YouTube - Advanced Nutrients Big Mike Recommends Competitor's Product[/ame] Hope that helps
