Hey guy's I know it has been a while since I posted here, I am just getting back into the swing of things. So I have a few documented grows under my belt and a few off the radar grows under my belt and one thing I have never fully went all out on was nutrients. I have used SOME of Advanced Nutrients products before, but just the bud production additives none of their base products. I have found some peoples AN regiments online and I have a few questions regarding them.. I found one very helpful user on youtube who walked through his entire AN lineup, however he is using a different base from what I am looking to get. So I will tell you guys the base that I am looking at and then list this guys full cycle of nutrients, not the exact ml/gallons or anything, just the products he uses. As I am trying to get rid of any redunancies. So for my base I will be using AN Jungle Juice 3 Part. Here is what this gentlemen uses as his lineup. (AN Only, there are other products that he uses) Veg/Flower Sensi Zym Grandma Engy's H2 Organic B-1 Rhino Skin Just Flower Bud Candy Bud Ignitor Big Bud Overdrive Nirvana HammerHead So to review, I am wondering how much of these other products are ESSENTIAL for producing the best quality medicine, while using them with the AN Jungle Juice 3 part lineup. Thank you GC in advance! Keep on growing!
Seems like a lot of people are so secretive about their nutrients used. Here is what I've been doing for the past 3 grows and it seems to be working for me. I just switched from Sensi Bloom A&B to the Connoisseur A&B though.
Okay cool man, is that the Botanicare Cal-Mag? Will that replace the Sensi Zym? That is a question I forgot to ask, because I have Cal-Mag already and it looks very similar to Sensi Zym
Ah I see, so is that just your flowering cycle? What do you do for vegetative if you don't mind me asking? Or do you run auto-flowering strains, which I have heard almost don't need veg nutes
The empty line between cal/mag and conn. divides them. The top section is my Veg feeding. The bottom section is flowering.
Okay, got it, sorry that makes more sense now. Thank you very much. This stuff sneaks up in price and that dude runs so much stuff and I feel like I can get similar results at a fraction of the cost.
The Sensi line is perfect. I use the Sensi grow and Sensi bloom with big bud and bud factor x. With the Sensi being ph perfect, and me using sunshine advance #4 soil, which is also oh perfect, I haven't had a single issue due to ph over about 2 years. I also use a few things by other brands, gravity and bushmaster by emarld triangle, but that's about it.
I shit myself when I had to pay for that Phosphoload. It really makes a big difference though! I went to the store last week to pick up Piranha and Tarantula ended up waiting til I need it. Was also looking at Great White instead but it was still pretty expensive.
Okay so I took from here and there a few different people from youtube and advanced nutrients website and here! I just finished making a mock up feeding schedule.. Let me know what you think? This is based on a 1 gallon container!
Please anyone, let me know what you think? Not enough nutes? Too many? Let me know your thoughts, I would like to nute up soon so I can start my next grow which will be my Bubba Kush!
Honestly, way to much for me. But that's just for me. I keep it simple. Grab the base grow and bloom, a few bud enhancers (big bud, bud candy, bud factor x), maybe a flush solution, and roll with that. That's just my opinion.
i agree with jbudz, waaaay too much but i guess it may depend on what kind of system you are using (and strain too, some you can really go all out!)....i didn't see if you posted if you were doing soil or hydro if hydro, what kind
Okay thanks guys it truly means a lot to me.. the world of nutrients is large and scary and companies trick you into "needing" everything it seems. Also I am running simple soil, since I will either be running mild amounts of nutrients OR an auto flowering strain, I am more than likely going to run with Fox Farm Light Warrior. I had a feeling just going with the 3 part base for now then some production enhancers would be a solid option, but there are quite a few growers out there literally using the whole set so it sparked my interest, just financially it was grossing me out.. But I must admit the color and layout of each individual product grabbed my attention and made me consider obtaining them.. effective marketing I suppose.. lol.. Thanks again GC!
I use AN Micro,Grow.Bloom 3 part PH perfect line. All I add is Carbo Load, and Big bid in flower as directed. However I'm thinking about addeding Bud Candy to see if it really works.Because so far I'm happy with AN. I also recommend using 2ml per liter instead of the 4ml per liter they suggest.Seems overkill to me,and its gone in no time.. On the 2ml per litler suggested product do use the 2ml.
I definitely wouldn't feed full strength. I think most of mine are at half strength when I'm at full feeding.

Thank you GC in advance! Keep on growing![/quote] I would say the only thing that is essential is the base, big bud and overdrive. Everything else gives some benefit but it's debatable how much. You can defiantly save a few bucks by dropping some veg additives, I only run A/b veg at 1/4 strength and have great results. For flower you are pretty safe running up to full strength with AN products although I would still start around 3/4 and adjust accordingly, remember its better to under feed by a lot than over feed by a little. Also the more additives you add the less base you will need, buy a ppm or EC meter, my final nute mix ppm's from 800-1200.
Okay cool, thank you guys for all the help. I think what I will do is instead of getting almost all of their products or just getting the base, I will get the base and some of the extras that are in question. I will run two plants, same strain same soil same pot size, same light you know the whole nine yards. Then, I give one of them just the base nutrients, and the other I will give all the bells and whistles, and I'll see which one does better. But thanks for the responses, because I was about to drop around $400 on nutrients, I got it narrowed down to about $125, seriously bailed my ass out guys! Thanks
Sounds like a good plan, some of the AN products are more advertising than results IMO. Im a bang for my buck guy so you gotta just play around with what you think is important. That being said I still use a lot of their additives, depending on my budget, because there is at least some benifit to them all. One other suggestion is to try coco instead of soil. I use the advance #4 mix and love it. Coco is technically a hydro but its treated like soil for the most part. Water like soil but dont let it dry out.. It doesnt shrink over time, seems to be better vs bugs, and is not pre fertilized so you wont burn or under feed in the beginning. One trick with coco is to make sure you have a cal mag booster as it seems to leach those from nutes.
