Adjusting PH Bubbleponics

Discussion in 'Hydroponic Growing' started by zodg1lla, Oct 4, 2010.

  1. I'm doing my first grow in a bubbleponics system and I'm a little confused about the PH adjusting.

I have 3 plants going good in their first ph adjusted water, however its getting a little too high for my liking and I want to lower it, I heard that you cant adjust the waters PH in the tank ever again now that i have started plants in it, so should I drain all the water, adjust the PH in my favorite 5 gallon bucket and replenish? I'm not really sure of the exact procedure and dont want to mess it up.

    Thanks guys(and girls?)

BTW I am making a grow journal of it, be about a week before I open up the thread, 6 serious seeds White Russians.

  2. I fight pH creep on an ongoing basis.
Every morning I add my make-up water and wait for about 1/2 hour.
Then I pull about a 400 ml sample and test conductivity and pH.
I usually find that I have to add a couple of drops of DOWN to adjust.
I drop a couple of drops into the input port on the bucket and flush through with the sample I pulled.
