Hey GC, Quick background on the setup. I have a 400W HPS anchored 12" above my SCROG screen. On the back wall I have a 4-bulb, t5 fixture hung vertically (3 6500K tubes: 1 2700K tube). I originally was planing on using CFLs to light my grow so I have splitters and bulbs to spare. I was wondering if it makes any sense to place a light underneath the canopy. My screen is pretty full as is and I've been worrying about not getting enough light to my lower branches and lower leaves. Basic setup shot (t5 is turned off). Does it make any sense to do this? Or am I making a bad choice. I have 46W CFLs that will fit under the canopy. Worth doing? Thanks for your input! AZ
Find a quite moment and work out the lumens.. I'm sure you HPS wins hands down save a lot of agro, and upgrade the 400w to 600w should you be that anxious. Consider that to use the T5 for bud the tubes should be 2-4" from the plant tips so in fact only 2 of those tubes are any way near that. upgrade the 400w HPS increase the ventilation consder LED solarstorm, see post here
