I hope I have this in the right section, as it does pertain to lighting, but could be in the beginner's section.
I'm growing three plants in a 4*4 tent.

I have two homemade light fixtures each holding four 23w cfls. So 92 per fixture, 184w total.

Yes, I keep the cfls closer, they are a little raised for the pictures.

It's been a month, so I'm halfway through flower. I have a Christmas gift coming from somewhere that is a Mars 300 led panel. They state actual wattage is +-140.

So I have a few questions.
    1. Will I be able to take out my homemade fixtures and replace with this one Mars unit?
I know I'm dropping watts from 184 to ~140. But these leds are supposed to penetrate better than my cfls. Also, it is recommended for 1.5*1.5 to 2*2 tent.
    2. Should I use one fixture and the led panel?
Side by side or front and back? Will using one fixture make up for the loss of penetration as this panel will be smaller than my fixture. The panel is 8"X12"x3".

    3. Should I leave it as is and use the panel on the next grow?
I'm not sure if this light change will stress them out being that they are accustomed to cfls. I'm thinking about the spectrum changes as well as the loss of heat in the tent. I'm not sure if it will make a difference or not.

If anyone has experience upgrading lighting during their own budget grow, I would appreciate the help.

I thank you for looking and any input on these questions. If you need more info or pics, please ask.
