I only had my pots filled up about 3/4s and I finally added a lot of dirt it seemed like a lot of dirt i put into the pots and was wondering if the plant will get bigger buds from doing this... thanks.

  2. Not really anymore then it would have on its own. But a bigger container will allow for a bigger plant. Adding dirt on top wont really do much .

  3. roots will grow from the stalk now covered with dirt and grow a bigger root system so it might work? Not 100% on bigger buds though.

  4. yeah i just dont know if the roots would be bounded up in the bottom already and how easily they would make their way up to the new soil.... and even if they did if it would make any difference at all.

  5. Damn... wouldn't a larger root system support more energy / nutes to the plant making bigger buds

  6. lol yeah , but thats stuff you plan on in the beginning by buying a large container, 5- 10 gallon, and doing the soil grow in that. Pooring more dirt on your grow after the fact isnt going to give you a big difference. But i would still poor it on, i just wouldnt expect a huge jump in growth or anything.

  7. Alright... my buds on one of my girls are abnormally small so I was hoping this would help :/ the pot it is in is a 3 galloner and about 23 inches tall any suggestions?

  8. Id add the dirt, maybe depending on stage find and avaibility get a late bloom nutrient that packs on weight towards the end..... In the future step up to a 5 gallon or 10 gallon tote and you will get a larger plant.

  9. I know it does make a difference in the veg state I do it every time (after transplant). But in flowering I don't thing/know for sure. I do know that my roots were coming out of the bottom of the pots during flowering and I added a container under with dirt and it has only be a week and the dirt under is full of roots. I will not know the impact until harvest. And yes I do have a plant to compair to. Will post pics on tue when I update my GJ

  10. how much light do you have? Watts and what is the strain?

IMO lac of light is what caused small buds for me, but it could be a number of things.

  11. Yeah that'd be pretty cool if that worked and the strain is sweet n sour diesel and its outside, it gets about 6 hours of direct light and 5 of indirect
