Acetaminophen

  1. I know that Acetaminophen can kill you....how much kills you though? I know that for every 15ml of cough syrups like dayquil and nyquil there is 325mg of Acetaminophen.

  2. TOXICITY:

    Dose
    * Minimal toxic dose = 10gm (150mg/kg)

    * Liver damage reported with single 6gm dose.

    * Minimum lethal dose = 15 gm ( 300 mg/kg).

    Factors affecting toxicity
    1) amount taken

    2) amount absorbed

    3) activity of glucuronidation and sulfation systems

    4) activity of microsomal oxidizing system

    5) hepatic glutathione stores

  3. and thats just alone im sure all the extra crap in dayquil and nyquil would increase the work load on your liver. if your gonna abuse otc meds be very carefull and informed, im sure you already knew that but i wouldnt want anybody to die because they simply dont know

  4. Ok, since you're talking about cough syrup, I'm assuming you want to trip on DXM.

    Simple Solution: Get a cough syrup with ONLY dextromethorphan hydrobromide in the active ingredients list.
