Can i put an AC in my attic, just not in the window, it's not a portable AC.... will it leak water and not work without fresh air? i'm real stoned right now...lol
It will be leak. You can rig up a drain for it, but from the attic.. I doubt it. It will be putting out heat and trying to cool that same space, again, not ideal.
No you can't, you have to find a place to vent the hot air. You could run ducting to push it outside i guess?
This is what you do. Place the ac in a window then cut a hole into the ceiling to vent to cool air in. Its very obvious so you could get a portable, and place it in a closet thats under the attic, cut a hole into the ceiling, and duct the cool air up, and then duct the warm air into the house for heating (winter time) or out of a window. Also another thing to do is a portable ac unit place it in the attic, then duct the cool air to the highest point in the attic, and exhaust the hot air out the attic. To exhaust it out of the attic it requires you to cut into the houses exterior. get one of those dryer flap things that prevents bees from making nests so that way it looks normal, and not like a random hole. Also an ac unit looks kinda susicious running all the time in the cooler months
