Abstinences?

Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by Maya Green, Jan 19, 2019.

  1. Hello,

I’ve read and heard from plenty of people that marijuana doesn’t cause abstinence’s like for instance alcohol, if you drink a lot for years and then quit, you may start shaking, get nausea, lose appetite, stomach ache etc. However, I’ve been a true pothead the last whole year and I’ve smoked weed pretty much every day and a lot, some days 1-2 j’s, other days up to 6 or 7 j’s. Yesterday I decided to quit smoking for a break, and it was already hard for me to fall asleep last night, but after a few hours trying it worked. I woke up this morning feeling dizzy, nausea, absolutely no appetite even though I haven’t eaten for quite a while, inner noise, slightly headache and just in general not feeling well, also feeling overwhelmed by anxiety and negative thoughts, feeling like I’m on the limit to cry... So if this is not abstinences from quitting weed, are you gonna tell me it’s just random that I feel this way right after quitting? I’m pretty sure it will pass if I smoke one right now but at the same time I wanna try to get back to normal... :/

So my question is... How can people say it doesn’t cause abstinences and what’s then going on with my body?

    What’s your own experiences?

    Thanks.

  4. Its normal.

If u have no appetite try drinking some nutritious smoothies.
Take fish oil to help your brain recover.

Smoking weed does “damage” your beain because of its getting stimulated by the weed. So fish oil helps your brain recover. And repair the cannabinoid receptors.

  5. Cannabis does have withdrawals. Everyone doesn't get them, everyone's body is different.
Common symptoms of cannabis withdrawals can be:
    -Lack of sleep
    - Lack of appetite
-Stomach pains (most likely due to not eating, nothing too serious)
    - Tremors and shaking
    - Hot and cold flashes
    - Slight headaches (Also due to not eating, nothing too serious)
    - Loss of focus
    - Sweating (especially at night when trying to sleep)
-Lucid dreams (You start dreaming heavily when you go sober)
    Sweaty hands and feet

That's about it. Withdrawals last about 2 weeks, peaking on days 3-5. You may not experience all of the symptoms I listed, but most people experience at least a few of them when quitting cold turkey. Its completely normal to go through this, weed withdrawals are not as bad as other drugs. They will go away soon and you'll be back to normal in no time.
