Above The Influence

  1. Straight from their website:

"Fact: Long-term marijuana use can lead to addiction in some people.
Each year, more teens enter treatment with a diagnosis of marijuana dependence than all other illicit drugs combined"

Why it's wrong: Most people that even do end up going for treatment of Marijuana are going in involuntarily, due to rehab or probation. But, if they're being drug tested and they still feel like smoking, then fuck. You probably do have a problem.

And alas, marijuana itself is non-habit forming. People with addicted personalities are the only group of people that you could attribute any sort of addiction with. The weed itself isn't going to make you crack out and "need" it.

Final point: If you have an addictive personality, don't do drugs. You're fucking it up for the rest of us by being one of the Truth campaign's statistics.

  2. Yes that's correct.

It could be argued that we all, in one way or another, have addictive personalities. Doesn't mean we should stop doing what we do. How about a better final point: if you can't responsibly use cannabis, don't use it at all.
