My current light cycle is 18/6 and I'm about to put it into 12/12. If my lights go off at 5pm and come back on at 11pm, what would be the best way to start my 12/12 if I want my light period to be during the day and dark at night. The reason I ask is because the only way to accomplish this I would have to either leave light on or off for an extended period of time and I don't want to stress before flowering. Does it matter? Is there a better way?
If your lights come on at 5am and go off at 11pm, simply make it the lights turn off at 5pm to make it a 12/12 cycle. You can also shift the cycle from 5 am to 9am - 9pm. It won't hurt the plant.
