Ok, so everybody knows the law of diminishing returns. I am going to grow 2 plants ( i ordered 2 feminized seeds) and i'm looking to build a lighting system using CFL's. I have some nice 26watt bulbs, that come in 3 packs. I planned on buying 2 boxes, which will be 6 lights in total. 6x26= 156, which follows the recommended formula of 100w for first plant, plus 50 watts for the additional plant. My question to you guys is, would it affect my potency/yield significantly if I bought an additional 3 pack? 156 watts for only 2 plants is pretty good. It will cost more money for the bulbs, plus more for the sockets to power them. But if it will affect my plants significatnly, i'm willing to spend the extra dough. What do you guys think? Stick with 6 bulbs, or go for 9?
Thanks, i'll do the right thing I'm growing a UFO strain, called L.A. Woman, and a blueberry kush. I'm starting off with faster indicas, then i'll work my way up to a sativa, if my clones happen to fail. Of course, thats all in the future!
Bought 8 lights, 4 two-packs @7.44 each. Great deal if you ask me. 26watts, 6500K color temp. Very excited. Of course, me and the fiance are looking at bulbs, then she's like "if you get 8 light bulbs, you're gonna need 8 lamps!" I totally forgot about that. So, i'm borrowing lamps from the parents and grandparents haha! If they only knew what i was really using them for.
