To start I am from Australia so all these fancy pre-coolers etc are all new to me I know nothing. So I am going to buy the 'Blaze Glass' Clear Glass Bong - Beaker Base - 9mm - Grasscity.com and the Blaze Glass - 11-Arm Reinforced Pre-Cooler - Smoking Pipes - Grasscity.com I have pipe screens already. But as someone who as never smoked out of a bong of this style. Do I need something like this Glass Bowl 'Black Leaf' Grip/Screen 14.5/18.8 - Grasscity.com to put in the pre-cooler or can I just use a pipe screen? If I need a third attachment is the one I linked the right size? If not could someone point me in the right direction please.
A new slide would increase the airflow a lot. I think you should be more worried about the downstem. Also, that AC is pretty bad. I'm not hating on cheap AC's but 11 arms is really just a drag machine and it's really fuckin rare that all the arms are firing.
Pretend I am from mars, What is a slide(Best guess is its the 3rd thing I linked)? (I assume the downstem is the "pipe") and I assume the AC is the precooler. If I am wrong on anything please explain. Also why should I worry about the downstem? Could you explain what you mean by "drag machine" I am fine if air does not go through all 11 arms every pull. I am used to smoking through a metal pipe haha. The second chamber itself will be satisfying enough for me I also assume once I understand these terms my question will be answered in your above post.
you dont have to buy a new bowl head! that bong your getting already has one, you just need to: 1. remove bowl head from new bong. 2. install new 11 arm pre-cooler in its place 3. now take bowl head, removed from bong and place it into the 11 arm pre-cooler. your are now ready to smoke your new piece!! well of course first you need water and some fresh herbs...
Ok onehitfix thanks for the info. I PM'd you but just incase I get no answer I will ask here for all to see.(I would go post in apprentice now but I only have one last question). Do I want to buy a precooler with a 14.5mm or 18.8mm joint size. Assuming I do what onehitfix suggested.
that bongs down stem is a 18.8mm > 14.5mm which means that it will only fit inside a bong that has a 18.8mm stem opening. and the only size attachment that will fit inside that down stem is a 14.5mm so any attachments you buy have to be 14.5mm now if you bought a new down stem, say one that was a 18.8mm > 18.8mm, this would mean both inner and outer dia. are the same and you would need to have a bong with an 18.8mm stem opening and any attachment you wanted to use would have to be a 18.8mm as well. so future reference. if the product has a stem size showing 2 numbers. the first is outer dia. and the second is inner dia. meaning the size opening it will fit into, and what size is required to fit inside itself.
