I planted a couple of purp seeds. The stem is about 2 to 3 inches tall now, and I am a bit confused on the timing when I should begin changing the lightin to 18/6. Also are there ways to induce sexing the plant to a female or is it just a waiting game?
Just keep it on 18/6 its probably the best for the plant. This timing is used for the vegetative state of the plant. Now when you want it to flower(bud) change the lighting to 12/12, that is what induces the plant to flower. Unless its an auto flower strain. So just keep it on 18/6 for a couple months till its big and then change it to 12/12 for it to bud
24/0 is fine, MJ does not need dark during veg state to grow..your just loosing growth time by going 18/6...they will grow a little but 24/0 is better for a for a few reason's...f the power goes out, timer fail's, bulb fail's, etc..you have more hour's to fix the problem than on a 18/6 ..
