Hello all, A few months ago I ended up getting 2 paraphernalia tickets and a Minor in possession of alcohol. I got an attorney and had my court date today. The court removed 1 para ticket, and said they will remove the other and the mip if I pay a fine and complete an AA class and do 12 hours of alcohol related community service. Which I'm happy with, as long as I don't have a record. I'm nowhere close to an alcoholic though. Haven't had any alcohol in 2 months, and never drank excessively before that. MAYBE one a week at dinner. My question is, how do you complete an AA class if you're not an alcoholic or hardly drink at all?
just smile and bullshit your way through it, how hard can it be? it's going to be a bunch of people talking about their problems and all you have to do is pretend to care for a few classes, badda-bing-badda-boom. done.
^^^ What he said. Stay clean, BS your way through, and act like you care. Be ready I went to a couple AA classes with a buddy of mine to support him and it was the most boring, long, and depressing thing I've done in a long time. From what I saw it was just meeting up, talking, a couple group discussion, the "12 steps", a couple simple papers they did, and after I took him home. I was happy to support him as a friend when he needed it (he was drinking hard all day, everyday) but I went home and smoked a huge bowl after every time The best way I could describe the meetings I went too were like a depressing church service... So do what you gotta do, stay clean, and after it's over enjoy the freedom and be more careful out there.
