So I got up this morning, and went to my Mom's as usual. She makes my meals for me ahead of time the night before so I can take lunch to college with me. Anyway, I grabbed my food this morning, checked on my other things, and then found it odd that too many lights were on in this house for it being so early. So I called out to my Mom, and heard her calling to me from the downstairs bathroom.......now for the crazy part, somehow some way she actually lost her vision overnight. The doctors haven't figured it out yet, and I had to have my brother drive her to the ER because I had to get going to school which is an hour drive away. She's being transferred to a different hospital which is hopefully better equipped to figure out what happened. I guess I'm just rather stressed out about the ordeal, and know she must be scared as hell not being able to see. If nothing else I'll update the thread at a later point and let you guys know what happened, for now I gotta get to class. Peace blades.
Did you check to see that her eyes were open? Maybe she had a killer case of pink eye and the shit was crusted shut.. No, but update when you find out what happened, good luck with everything.. i hope its nothin serious.
wow that sucks. Losing a sense is the hardest ordeal anyone has to face especially losing it that late in your life I would know im slowly going deaf if I keep exposing my ears to such loud noises I could be deaf by my 30's -40's
Thats terrible to hear. Hopefully it's just temporary My dad got in an accident at work a couple months ago and is now in a wheelchair for life Things like this just seem to happen out of nowhere, and it's just really shitty when they do
Omg. Let us know what happened. My prayers are out to her i had a corneal abrassion(sp?) on my eye and couldnt see out one eye for a day. It was painful.
Thank you all very much for the sympathy and kind answers. I luckily finally got through to her on the phone that's in her hospital room. From what she told me she can tell when there is extremely bright light, but anything dimmed down to say typical room lighting is no good. I also asked her if her vision just dimmed out slowly or it just popped out, she told me that it just suddenly popped out....which makes an incredible amount of sense being that when I found her she was sitting on her butt on the floor. I'm praying that it's something that can be fixed medically, if it does turn out permanent then I'll just have to make a few changes in my life to cope. Well I gotta go take care of some stuff......I'll keep you guys all updated though, thanks again blades.
