Go Stormtroopers! Police brutality is alive and well. I'll bet we see a lot more of this before the summers over.
did that literally give anyone else a sick feeling in their stomach? Cuz I'd be lying if I said that it didn't. I expected to see a shove; not him fucking waylaying her to the ground. that officer most certainly needs to be (and probably will be) disciplined...harshly I hope. it also kinda makes me a little sick that everyone standing around didn't do anythign about it either other than call the cop an asshole...but hey this is the society we live in these days. The age of citizen action against oppressive power is over.
Yet another wannabe testosterone-driven Rambo motherfucker that couldn't make it in to the Marines and instead settled to be a cop. /facepalm
What's funny, is how you defend the woman even though the video only starts and ends during the police using force. Don't say shit til you know both sides of the coin. EDIT: Get real if you think cops are not allowed to use a certain amount of force. They have authority, and if you protest and push them, you will be floored. Civil disobedience is still disobedience. He didn't bust her in the face, he knocked her backwards onto the ground with his baton. He didn't beat her, she was up and standing and looked fine to me. She was asking for it probably. For the exact purpose of gettig on youtube. Sort of like that college kid who got tazed. Some people amaze me... /facepalm
Yeah I agree, plus she was saying "and I'll fucking do it again" right before she got clocked so who knows what she did to provoke the dude. And even though it looked brutal, she was obviously fine (and with no marks) as she was getting interviewed, EDIT: it looks like face mcpalm edited in a bunch of what i was trying to say
I'm sorry, so cops automatically have the right to smack someone in the neck with a baton instead of, I dunno, just pushing her back? If she turned violent, he would have arrested her right there and then. Granted Code Pink protestors aren't the smartest of the bunch but that doesn't give police the right to use such force unless things are turning violent, especially to a group that's comprised mostly of women.
What's your point? Women should get special treatment? I'm almost sure she was pushing those cops' patience. She didn't get hit in the neck. She was just knocked to the floor with a forceful shove. If she gets bruised, hopefully it will teach her to respect the law, which the cops uphold. I'm not defending police brutality, I'm just saying this isn't an example. You want an example of police brutality? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ibSwITK4jjQ The officer in the original post's video was calm and collected. The above video is an example of what is NOT acceptable.
Ya and I'm sure everyone that's gonna get stuck in here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQEc3ejHIaM deserves to be there. there's a First amendment for a reason. And that reason isn't so you can pinpoint the dissenters and lock them up easier. You people defending this cop need to get fucking real. There is NO reason AT ALL for a police officer to use that kind of force on someone without a weapon. A fucking WOMAN no less. Sure protesters are probably a terrible inconvenience for these officers but that doesn't give them carte fucking blanche to physically assault citizens. NO MATTER how unruly they are ESPECIALLY when they aren't posing a physical threat. This cops is a grade A fucking pussy. I'll be the first one to admit that I'm a cop apologist. If there's a story about a cop who tased someone, I'm right there saying that the drunk asshole shouldn't have been tryign to take a swing at the cop. Like I said, most of them are jsut doing their jobs, though. But it's the ones like this who make me sick of living in the world we live in sometimes. Jsut have to accept that there will always be those special few who think they're above the law.
Yup. He had both hands on the baton too so its not like he hit her, he checked her haha. Im sure this hippy protester was very respectful, peaceful, and was following all the laws when this took place. People that provoke law enforcement just to sue/get on TV are just as bad as the cops doing it. I fucking hate protesters.
^ She was pushing the cop's patience, so he crosschecked a baton into her neck, pushing her down? Yeah, that's reasonable. She was standing there, talking to the cop. That's not a reasonable amount of force for anything other than someone hostile and violent towards a cop.
yeah i was there and well police said they have not enough envience to show that police hurt the woman fuckin pisses me off
I can't believe your on a marijuana forum calling people hippies in a derogatory fashion... it defies logic
Really buddy? You were there and saw what happened before her hippy friend decided to start filming? Im not defending the cop, just think its funny how most of you ride these protesters' dicks all the time.
