A sort of supersoil?

  1. Okay there seems to be some great sounding supersoil out there but seems you can't get your hands on them in the UK.

So people say make your own but as a typical noob I don't really want to make it 100% from scratch as it takes a little to long.

So i was thinking if maybe getting a bag of biobizz light and a biobizz all mix and mixing them together with some extra perlite, worm castings, some fishblood and bone and some home made compost that has rotton down from vegies and other goodies from everyday food waste. No meats or cooked shit that can't be rotton down properly.

Could something like that work after letting it sit for a week or two?

  2. What bagged soil can u get? U could use like fox or nectar this run and start making ur soil for later. There are some real experts on here. No till that is. I would only do this if u have bottled nutes. Wont need them when u go no till

  3. I do have bottled nutes, basically it's biobizz I can get my hands on. Easily just like the thought of the supersoil but seems difficult and long process to make it from scratch hehe.

  6. Nas it will be indoors and I'm gonna be planting a auto blue mango for a tester then I have 6 cbd og kush to grow if I get the mango to successfully grow.

Realised with all my other attempts the ph was way off as I was using dwc and a crap ph pen that I didn't calibrate often enough.

So trying a soil grow for the buffer it can provide to help with any drastic ph swing.

  7. Any preference on what bag of biobizz to buy either the light or the all mix?

  8. Making your own soil is not alot of work. Especially once it's done and all you have to do is set back and watch. A little top dress between grows and you're good to go. Making my own soil has simplified my grow if anything. I'm gone alot. I sit my plants on top of a sub irrigated planter and let them water themselves. No ph'ing, no ppm'ing, no muxing bottled nutrients every couple waterings, no measuring, no flushing no trying to figure out what the plant needs as everything is right there in the soil for the plant to choose from. No worries of over/under feeding. Hell i dont even replace the soil, pull 1 plant out and plant another right next to it. just top dress between grows and forget about it. I've grown different forms of hydro, bottled nutrient soil grows and building my own soil is by far the easiest way I've ever grown.

  11. My 10 gallon supersoil airpots were so heavy I put them on expensive rollers. Now I can lift 4 cubic feet of perlite with one arm. If you are going to make soil, consider using 2 gallon buckets for storage rather than large 20 gallon totes. They can be stacked filled in a corner 8 high. And you will end up with more than 8 secret ingredients. For a list to get started check out the No Till thread.
    Amazing perlite
    How light it is
That saved an organic wretch like me.

  12. Heck yeah they can be heavy. I've been moving mine from the manure pile to my boxes in buckets and totes. The 5 gallon ones weigh around 40 but the totes are well over 150. Took me and one other person to lift them. Already moved 2800 gallons in 3 days .... I can hardly move lol

  13. Then no till would be perfect. Once your pots are filled all you have to do is top dress. I've had the same soil in my containers going on 6 years with only minimal inputs. Literally handfuls of amendments between each grow and forget about until next grow

  14. I tried mixing miracle grow potting soil/organic potting soil/ perlite/ mushroom compost/earthworm castings/coco coir/and about 1 tsp of dolomite lime. Anyone got any thoughts on this mix? So far it made them boom but I want to know is this the best direction I'm going in?

  15. O know a lot of people say to stay away from miracle grow for cannabis growing.

  16. Mg is usually the last choice if nothing else is available, or it is what you already have. It's bad, but not nearly as bad as some people make it out to be. Just be aware, it has "time released" nutes. If they are booming now, that is good and it's working, they may need to be replaced. Most avoid MG simply because it is difficult to know exactly then what nutes you are working with. Yes, you are going in the right direction and your mix looks good.

  17. Thanks! And I only started w/ a little MG b/c I did read that somewhere. Good deal I'm super excited now!!
