A Sonnet

  1. Life is too short
    and much too sweet,
so grab a bottle of port
and suck it like a teet.
    Spend every day
    like it was your last.
    Have fun in every way
or you will never get past
    the doldrums of life,
    which can keep you down,
    but they are actually rife
    with dreams and a crown.
I'm living like a king almost all the time
I take it for granted, but it's so sublime.

  2. ehh...wrote another few poems...only gonna post up my fav. Hope anyone who reads it enjoys it...

    Peace and bliss
are all shrouded in the mist.
Come forth and take my hand,
if you want to escape this horrid land.
You may just survive after all
if you watch out for the cracks in the wall.
    They can suck you in
and make you sick as you spin.
    A top tumbling over
    the whole wide world.
    Take your time, step carefully.
Make your eyes adjust to see out of the atrocity.
If you ever want to see light again,
    then take my hand.
    I know a way out,
    so forget all your doubt.
Take the ladder and hold on tight
its going to be a few hundred flights.
But after all is said and done,
    were gonna be the ones
that are living way up high and looking down,
laughing at all the ants on the ground.
Walking around in their daily lives,
they are all bees in one great big hive.
They don't know what it's like.
They can't tell what it's like.
How can I make them see the light?
It's all that makes me right,
and it's all that makes life.
If you are afraid of heights,
then darling stay behind me and still your fright.
We will come to know and adore our own plight --
as we sit in the wind-washed light.
We laugh about me and we laugh about you,
while we look up above and watch the stars shoot
out over our heads they twinkle and glitter
like the sparkles in your eye,
which make me forget the bitter
and meaningless things that are stapled to life
like a tacky awkward dress draped around a beautiful wife.
We sit here in happiness and forget about the world
but we still wait and watch to see whats unfurled.
How will they do it this time? How will it end?
Thats the part of the movie you hate, the suspense.
Don't worry, its nothing too scary, nothing too blue.
    Remember,
I rented this one for you.
