Hey GC just found these lyrics by one of my favorite bands. They really made me think and one of my thoughts was that fellow stoners might like these lyrics. So read them and if they mean anything to you feel free to comment. A Sight To Behold: Reflecting ourselves in the blood of all the beings we slay Misunderstand each other, out of control we remain There is a mystery, we're facing a sight to behold This is what we make of the world, we throw everything away The way we all behave is not understandable It is so sad to see the wealth of our planet fade away We all behave like children, taking off the head of our teddy bear To see what's inside, taking, not giving back We drain the oceans and suck all the blood out of the soil We spend the time we have left fighting and killing each other Lust for comfort, entertainment becomes an obsession And there is so much time to kill The way I see things is so simple The fact I'm walking standing on this land Exhausted is the realm of nature, friends are dying The living creatures on our side The way I see myself so confused so sophisticated I have to stay away from me But I still don't get the point What's worth destroying all the worlds Try not to get it anymore You burn yourself, set fire for good We die eyes closed, dig our own grave now Tossed in the blaze naked on the flame Lost with no pride, drowned in the filth The giant snake is coming down to eat our heads And the flood will kill us, Mantus is rising from under The way I see things is so simple The fact I'm living dying on this land Exhausted is the realm of nature, friends are dying The living creatures on our side The way I see myself so confused so sophisticated Don't have to stay away from me But I still don't get the point What's worth destroying all the worlds Try not to get it anymore [4x]
Coincidently, I just posted this song in another thread not too long ago: http://forum.grasscity.com/spiritua...ou-philosophically-spiritually-thread-49.html (if you want to hear the actual song, just go to the thread) Eye on the TV 'cause tragedy thrills me Whatever flavor it happens to be Like: "Killed by the husband" ... "Drowned by the ocean" ... "Shot by his own son" ... "She used a poison in his tea, Then (she) kissed him goodbye" That's my kind of story It's no fun til someone dies. Don't look at me like I am a monster Frown out your one face, but with the other (you) Stare like a junkie into the TV Stare like a zombie while the mother holds her child, Watches him die, Hands to the sky cryin "why, oh why?" Cause I need to watch things die from a distance Vicariously, I live while the whole world dies You all need it too - don't lie. Why can't we just admit it? Why can't we just admit it? We won't give pause until the blood is flowin' Neither the brave nor bold Nor brightest of stories told We won't give pause until the blood is flowin' I need to watch things die from a good safe distance Vicariously, I live while the whole world dies You all feel the same so why can't we just admit it? Blood like rain fallin' down Drum on grave and ground Part vampire, part warrior, Carnivore and voyeur Stare at the transmittal. Sing to the death rattle. La, la, la, la, la, la, la-lie (x4) Credulous at best Your desire to believe in Angels in the hearts of men. But pull your head on out (of) your hippie haze And give a listen Shouldn't have to say it all again The universe is hostile So impersonal Devour to survive So it is, so it's always been ... We all feed on tragedy. It's like blood to a vampire. Vicariously, I live while the whole world dies Much better you than I. "Vicarious" Tool
