A Rookie Question

Discussion in 'Weed Edibles' started by ekanga2023, Aug 3, 2023.

  1. So I was straining my tincture blend through a wide mouth funnel and coffee filter into a Mason jar...the filter soaked to it's edges and began dropping a very sticky white substance on the outside of the jar...what was that stuff?

  2. Can you post an image? I filter differently and haven't run across the problem. Were your filters dirty?

  4. Looks like lipids and waxes, probably a cannabinoid or two
You got some tincture on the side and the alcohol evaporated

  5. 1, unbleached coffee filter is better.
2, h20 and THC resin make cannabinoid jiz, the whitish stuff.
3, razor it off jar and eat.
4, next time, put coffee filter in funnel :love-m3j:

  8. Your welcome,
That sounds good, btw, if you make a tinc out of dry, undecarbed bud and let it sit 4 months, unrefrigerated , you will have the best tinc ever. If you want to reduce it , let it evaporate with a fan, no heat, you lose no cannabinoids.
Only problem is it's so good ,it will go quickly.:)

  9. It looks like water drops reacting to the alcohol ;) the ouzo effect. Otherwise - waxes. Sticky white substance which is hard to clean.
