I think our government has become corrupt beyond recognition. It seems like no matter who we vote for, they turn out to be corrupt. Large banking companies have removed our banking regulations, which has left many people homeless. The gap between the wealthy and poor has increased. Government interference has increased. Everything in general has went to shit. However it appears people are too fucking lazy to organize and revolt, everyone is a couch revolutionary. We need to take to the streets in numbers and if nothing is done, we need to threaten violence. This is a call for everyone here to get together and start organizing. Maybe get a few friends together and a megaphone, and yell facts that show how corrupt the government is. We need to do something now, our country has become an oligarchy that favors the wealthy. We must not take this injustice to the working class in stride!

That's one major thing I've noticed about the differences between America and Europe. America doesn't go out on the street and protests. Europe starts demonstrations and riots all the time.

I've read the original...it's doable but painful with all the language differences of the time. I find the interpretation here very true to the original. And if you think we'd be better as a socialist country, think about this...what socialist country that remains (most of them fell apart), would you want to live in? I agree with you for the most part. Except protest music is still out there, its just completely underground at this point in the game. Anything anti establishment never see's the light of day. If you like hip hop check out Immortal technique, Vinnie paz, Afu ra, Mos def, Talib Qwali, Common, the whole Army of the Pharaohs crew. Theres so much more and in many different genres. That and there are so many many disgruntled people out there. They just keep it to themselves. It is a hot button issue after all, tempers tend to flair. So many times ive met a person who I thought was completely ignorant to the issues, and the second I bring it up they have a ton of things to say. I hope there comes a day when people realize that materialism does not bring joy, no matter how much you buy or consume it never brings you true peace or happiness. If people came to this realization, they would immediately see the lies and bullshit that slips past them every day. They dangle something shiny in front of your face with one hand, and steal everything you have with the other.
