  3. I'm on anther forum that shares music. They are on the "uncool" side of things....I feel like I have entered a large auditorium and at the podium is some boisterous lady yelling things like "B........27, B......27". Someone shared the song "Summertime". Summertime" is an aria composed in 1934 by George Gershwin for the 1935 opera Porgy and Bess. The lyrics are by DuBose Heyward, the author of the novel Porgy on which the opera was based, although the song is also co-credited to Ira Gershwin by ASCAP.[1]
From then until today the song remains popular under most music Genres, especially jazz, and rhythm and blues. Even rock as demonstrated by the home grown (AND I MEAN HOMEGROWN) band I played in about 15 years ago.
