Hello everyone, I just need info on a simple question i"m not so sure about. Ok i have a little plant that is about 2 and 1/2 weeks old. I have two Flour. Tubes with a reflector. For the veg stage. It is working very well. It grew an inch an 1/2 in 3 days. If i add two 3000k CFL's around the plant to get light underneath, will it matter on my yield or anything or do i just need to use the straight flour tubes? It might not even make a difference but i want whats best for my plant. Ill Have pics soon All Suggestions Are Appreciated. Thanks
More light always helps, dude, as long as you don't burn your plants...and heat doesn't become an issue. In the end it might make a difference, if you keep the undergrowth lights up through harvest, as those buds at the bottom of the plant will receive more light. Usually, without any LST, the undergrowth is a lot smaller than the main colas due to less light. With extra light 'round the sides, though, you can avoid such an issue.
Thank You Guys. I was wondering because in veg stage they were using flour 7500k and i was like i wonder if i can add some 3000k lights along with it even though its in veg stage. But when it comes to flowering i just want to use all 2700k-3000k lights? Or is a slight mix good for it?
It doesn't hurt to have a mixed spectrum in each stage of growth. Any additional light will surely help growth.
A slight mix is good, sometimes preferred, but you definitely want more 2700K lights for flower, and vice versa for vegging.
