I found a flourescant fixture with 2 40w cool white deluxe tubes, Question is will cool white work for growing MJ?PS: the lights are made by sylvania
At first it should suffice, but if you want to keep going youll need a lot more light. Sounds like you need to read up also.
Well its not like I dont know how to grow....I have been reading for a long time and I am only wondering about the lights cause, They are a bit old and they are like 3 feet long and the "Cool White deluxe" Kinda blew me off in the sense that I didnt know if these would suffice I know it wont work through the entire process but it would work for veg and seedling right? Im growing lowryders btw
look at my little grow in my jurnal under this all done with 48" shop lights 40w 4100k and 3100 or 3300 lumes per bulb im up to 3 shop lights total of 6 bulbs for flower they sell kitchen and bath bulbs in 40w 3000k and 3400 lumes each tube
Yes, its good to go with a higher K for veg, and a lower K for flower, and I know that bulbs lose thier lumens over time, and because they are so cheap, you should go out and spend a little bit on something you know is right and is in good shape.
couldnt agree more with anony buy extra bulbs buy new lighting fixtures dont use old junky looking things dont need your house going up in smoke. walmart was the cheapest for fixtures $7.97 for a 2 light 48" shop light the bulbs i got in 4100k were $3.98 for 2 bulbs the kitchen and bath in 3000k were $6.98 for 2 bulbs my next veg i do im buying the 7500k daylight bulbs are sold in 2 packs for $9.98 and going to use them to veg out my clones in 2 weeks
I found a aqua rays aquarium plant light its a 15W will this help in any stages of my plants growth? Well I read up on it but im not sure if these specs are correct but it says it stimulates plant health, color, growth, and size. It has 9400k and is a purplish color.
I went out and bought 2 26 watt cfls, and 2 20 watt cfls. I also got 3 2 foot warm white bright stick made by GE for flowering. Question: The Warm whites will work for flowering right? I also got this organic soil in a white bag, I took some of the soil out and doesnt look like it has many added things like bark and such, But I cant really find out if this soil is good or not. Does anyone have any idea? I got the bag from wal mart its called organic potting mix
Thats used for algea and coral growth in Salt Water tanks(i know this cuz i work at a pet shope) but im not sure it will work for growing mary jane. Warm Whites will work but you want as many as you can fit over the plant. I would just go and buy an HPS system on ebay 250 Watts for pretty dam cheap
Plant and aquarium lights work, but not great. Regular cool white with a color temp in the 5500-6500k range is best. For flower warm/soft white with a color temp around 3000k. 4100k is actually a relatively useless spectrum for plant growth, it has neither enough red or blue.
