What a smart and passionate young girl...just turned 20 as well. Maybe we just watched a future Nobel prize winner. A freak situation meant her grandmother didn't die...maybe that was the first clue that this girl is due to do something special with her life. Then her parents ended up in Canada rather than Australia which in turn lead her to read about the Ebola virus. If either of those 2 life changing moments had gone a different way she probably wouldn't be on that stage. I wish her all the best with her research! As for the analogy... if modern civilisation with it's cities is the cancer, what is the injury which precipitated it? I'm gonna give this some thought.
