A Question For Those Who Use Precoolers / Ash Catchers

    Lately I have found if I fill my precooler with enough water so that the tip of the downstem is covered in water, some water will go up the downstem and splash my weed. To solve this I only put a small amount of water in the precooler, not enough so that the downstem is in it. The ashes hit the water, and stay there. The water doesn't splash my weed. And I feel like the bong is actually doing it's job now, instead of the precooler doing most of the work before the smoke even hits the bong water. Does anyone else do this? sorry if it doesnt make sense

    Sounds like a shittty ashcatcher because i can submerge the downstem like 1/2 and inch under and still not get wet weed. or suck water into the bong

    I think Elite HaXor is right. I got an ashcatcher on mine and I submerge the sucker about 1/4" with warm water. I know it works too, cuz the night I got it, I packed a bowl in it and a bowl in my old bowl and my friend and I compared. The smoke was WAYYYYYY smoother. Post a pic of that precooler with whatever amount of water you put in it that floods the bowl.
