    Building a DOS Rig
Hopefully getting an old retired Pentium 2 Server from my friend
    P2/300Mhz or so
    64mB RAM
If not im buying one with older specs like
P1/K6 100+Mhz 16-32mB RAM ATI RAGE/Riva TnT if mine is broke
    --------
    I Have a Riva TnT2 16mB
    Windows 98
    "New" 40gB IDE
    --------
    What I'm asking
What should i get to output the MIDI signal?  Win98 is going to be used no question so it may need to be second hand.
also should i get one of the Rolands or a Yamaha or is there any modern gen midi's that'll work well just?
I can't remember if the old SB16's had MIDI Out
Edit can i use a PCI-SATA Adapter for a HDD, does it emulate IDE and run SATA or does it require SATA drivers?
or my USB-SATA/IDE with a USB boot disk?

  2. Or, should i just get an older Celeron around 300mhz board/cpu and just buy a new PCi ATI 7500 64mB ($15), some new 256mB DDR ($10), and dual boot win98 and XPmicro for DOS up to 2003ish games
