A question for people who know MMJ laws.

Discussion in 'Medical Marijuana Usage and Applications' started by Valient, Apr 2, 2010.

  1. Socially smoking. is it legal...

    • With other MMJ Card holders
    • Public
    • in the same room as someone who doesnt have a card, but the other person isnt taking hits
    • in a car with other people

  2. As far as I know you're allowed to smoke wherever smoking is allowed....

    Just not in a car.

  3. In California - anywhere it's legal for cigarette smoking EXCEPT near sensitive use areas (Schools, etc), and not in a moving vehicle at all.

  4. Here's the answers for Oregon:

    -Yes
    -No
-Yes (legal for cardholder, not for other person)
    -No

Basically, you can smoke anywhere that's not public in Oregon, except for a car. I don't know if you can smoke in the car w/a DD, but I know you can't drive and smoke or drive while under the influence.

  5. You can only smoke in a car thats not moving or depending on the cop if your keys are in the ignition you could get a DUI. I'm not sure for the consequences of smoking with someone who doesn't have a card, but I'm pretty curious to find out. Does anybody know if you smoke with someone without a card can the card holder get in trouble?

  6. I smoke in my car all the time, with my card I can't do it in the dorm, so I just go outside in my car. The windows are tinted and I always let the smoke air out before leaving so there's no smell. All I have to do is crack a back window and turn the AC on full blast for 15 seconds. I ALWAYS leave the keys out while I'm smoking though.

I smoke with my friends all the time, I figure as long as you keep your weed on you and make sure it doesn't look like you're sharing, just because you're with someone who is breaking the law doesn't make you a lawbreaker. We're innocent until proven guilty, so make sure they can't prove you in anyway guilty of sharing medication.
