A question about a block

So I found some stuff in an old apartment and I think it may be hash. There is a couple blocks of it and its real hard until I break it up. It also smells horrible and is very strong smelling.

If I could use a word to describe the smell it would be a kind of spice but it smells bad (or at least in my opinion, it doesn't smell like skunk which I think smells real good). I think its old too, its black with a little bit of what looks like moss on it.

But I just can't get over the smell, it also smells kind of like butt or rubber. I don't know if its safe to smoke and I don't think I will even if I find out it is safe to smoke just based on its stench and rancid appearance. Like the smell turned my stomach.

So I'm not very familiar with hash, I've smoked it a few times but I'm still not sure. Can anyone help me with this?

But its really old, I found it in an apartment thats been cleaned out for a couple of months and the sandwich bag it was in was real old and had a few holes in it and it was also in a grocery bag.

I'm thinking about throwing it away, but when I said moss its got a greenish tint to it. The only reason I think it may be hash is because the apartment was known to harbor "those types".

I'm just trying to think of what else it could be though if its not hash.

 

My cousin thinks it may be shrooms. But if thats the case I'm going to freak out because I was nose deep in that stuff.

 

It didn't really burn at all. It smells kind of sweet, but is still gross. I'm starting to think it may be an old bag of shrooms.

 

I just flushed it down the toilet.
