A newbie's thoughts to 'dro.

    I have seen a few veterans of this forum get upset over people assuming 'dro is going to be a good smoke. My 2 cents are that 'dro does not happen accidentally and requires specific equipment, time, money and some dedication. I would also say that from reading this forum it seems the people who try hydro typically grow indoors & use purchased seeds, seeds from their favorite bag or clones. This takes money and who in their right mind would waste all this expense on ditch weed?

    I would think that if you are buying from someone you can trust them when they say it's grown hydroponically then it should be a good smoke. No guarantees at all on this one.

    Before you hate on me, I have to say that there are exceptions to almost any rule and I guarantee there exceptions in this case. There are many questions to ask aside from if it's 'dro but if it is I bet it's good.

    you can have schwag but it be grown hydro..so theres your dro..but it awful schwaggy dro lol.


    Good Dealers usually won't do this though.. At the end of the day, dealers can call it whatever they want to...but its up to you to determine if its dank or dirty..

    I'm sure that can be done, I am sure it has been done and I am sure there are people who grow schwag hydroponically today. I just ain't never met them, heard from them or smoked any of their weed :D.

    Most of the time when you are buying shit, they have no idea how it was grown, they just throw hydro out there because they think it sounds good.

    well i said this the other day in another post about "dro."

    i picked up what was supposed to be 2g's of some dro for $25 thatthis guy grew. supposedly it was his first attempt at growing it, and after i gave a smoke report i was told he took it off a little early...

    my friend picked up a quarter of mids the other day as well, and i got high off a bowl of it.
    the dro? not so much.

    so no, dro will not always be good. lol.

    Most of the time you have no idea how it was grown and neither does your dealer. The few times I have known it was always good.

    I dont care for "dro" Sense many of my dealers just say its dro to boost some sale. its really hard to know what kind of weed your actually smoking and how it was grown. People can just say it was hydro grown but really its not to clear on how its supposed to look. "dro" is also just another word for KB. but doesnt mean it was all grown hydro.

    I see what you're getting at. You think it's safe to assume that if your dealer says he is selling you hydro, you are going to get dank. Right?

    That's not necessarily the case all the time. You could grow hydroponic cannabis and come out with mids or high-mids. It's based on these variables.

    -What's the dealers experience with growing?
    -What kind of seeds does he use?
    -What methods does he use throughout his grow?
    -What nutrience does he use?
    -How/how long was it cured?

    All these variables will affect the final outcome.

    Just because he says it's "hydro" doesn't mean you should take his word for the quality. It's all based on his experience like I stated above.

    I have grown schwag hydro and I bet most people on this site could not tell it started as schwag.

    As I said, in the first post there are exceptions to this rule.

    A few people have posted something to the effect of "you don't know if it's actually dro". I already cleared that up in the first post. It said: "if you are buying from someone you can trust them when they say it's grown hydroponically". So, again, we are working on the assumption already that is is hydro because you bought it from someone you can trust.

    I've gotten some really bad White Widow before. Guess the soil got infected with pests. The buds still looked pretty but didn't seem to do it's magic for me. I would say someone could find a way to fuck up any strain whether it's grown in soil or water. There are no guarantees any weed is going to be good until you sample it.

    But so far it seems people pretty much get high-quality bud when they purchase it hydropoically grown.

    I dont care what it is grown in its how it smokes. I sometimes buy weed when Im out and about from people who dont deal but will sell an 8th to make some money back from buying an O. If they say i got that dro or fire its usally some swhag/low mids. If they say I got some dank ass headies its usally good smoke. So when I hear the word dro i just assume its shitty.

    I have always thought hydro was light green in color and had nice orange hairs with tons of crystals....am I mistaken? My dealer is suppose to be selling me a qtr of dro tomorrow and thats what he described it as so thats just what I assumed.

    can we be fuckin real here please? If the weed looks like dank, it will probably get you high. if it looks like shit but the dealer tells you its dro, you laugh in his face and leave.

    almost all dank is a good smoke, stop being such noobs and saying you dont prefer dank over mids
