A more energetic high?

Discussion in 'Beginner Cannabis Consumption & Tips' started by Jhacob, Feb 10, 2011.

  1. Alright well I've been smoking for a while but I just recently began smoking regularly. Every time I smoke I just get tired and chill (imagine that :D), I definitely don't have a problem with that,

but I was just wondering if there was anything I could do to make my high more energetic. Don't get me wrong I LOVE to chill, but when I go to parties I don't really have much fun being glued to the couch

    Thanks Blades!

  2. maybe you should try one of those redbull energy shots before you leave for the party. it helped me stay up all night.

  3. I would recommend a vaporizer, for me it allows me to have a very active/energetic high but I can also just chill too:smoke:

  4. You need a good Sativa. I recommend Super Lemon Haze. The high is very uplifting.

  5. I honestly don't know. It could be based off of a couple factors.

It could be the quality of your bud. It could simply be how you feel before you smoke. You are simply a lazy stoner at heart (like me :p).

Who knows? There could be many factors contributing to your lazy high. But whatever you do, don't drink those shitty energy drinks because it'll just rundown your high. Not to mention, many people that smoke and then consume one of those drinks end up having a headache/nausea.

Wish I could find a cure for the lazy high.

I would imagine you are experiencing slight burnout, no? I think when you go from smoking somewhat to smoking regularly, your body develops a tolerance to strains more quickly, and this can result in that sluggish feeling. It happens with both indica and sativa-dominant strains.

First of all, if you aren't doing so already, I'd recommend alternating sativa in the day time and indica at night. Also, if possible take 1-2 days off weed each week.

Other than that, diet can play a role in your energy levels, so make sure you're not forgetting to eat and then binging when you smoke... I know I've done this before and it really messes with your blood sugar levels, making you feel lethargic.

Let me know if you need help figuring out how to make it work...as a long time stoner and health freak, I love to help out fellow stoners any way I can. ;)

P.S. Do NOT take the dude's tip about red bull...horrible to peak your blood sugar in that way and causes crashes, as well as long-term imbalances. No offense to him/her.

ALSO: My fav sativa strain is hands-down Trainwreck. AMAZING.

  7. i know this sounds lame but make sure you get enough sleep during the night. also eat healthy foods during the day like apples, carrots and pass on the fast food and sugary snack foods. drink lots of water instead of sugar shit soda. getting more exercise will help a ton too. not only will you have a fuckload more energy during the day but you will feel awsome. it worked for me at least :p

  8. Sativa strains for sure. Don't do the Redbull, take a 5-hour energy shot, no sugar = no crash.

Just my addition, everything else posted here is pretty good. :)

  9. I'd say take a couple 5-hour energy or a spike with you to the party. Maybe try smoking a different strain (idk if you constantly get the same stuff or not). If all else fails, dont smoke so much next time.

  10. Try to smoke sativa dominant strain and sip on some OJ

  11. Everyone will say there is some way to get an energetic high, but generally there is not. Marijuana just makes you relaxed and sometimes tired, that's what THC does to the body.

Especially if you smoke a lot.

  12. As some have already said, you need a good sativa strain.

Ask your dealers if they get any sativa dominant strains.

  13. that could be it, the past week or so I've been smoking alone and after work, which is probably accounting for my laziness haha thanks bro

  14. Then you haven't smoked a Sativa strain high in THC and low in CBD. Because the effects of THC include the sort of energetic feeling we are looking for. When you toss a larger number of CBD into the mix, say with a strain with more Indica traits, or even by letting a plants trichomes mature longer until they turn amber, resulting from the breakdown of some of the THC into actual CBD and the other cannabinoids that are responsible for the body high. This causes the sleepy, lethargic feeling that these types of bud give. These cannabinoids act to balance out the effects of THC to one extent or the other.

  15. Anytime man. That's exactly what I do as well. I'm guessing we should stop that routine and just move the smoke sesh to a different time. :p
